Ce livre que je vous propose est le fruit de 8 années de voyages dans les parcs nationaux et réserves du Kenya, 8 années de safari à la recherche de l’image d’exception, de la scène rare ou de l’animal emblématique.
Une vingtaine de voyages qui ont, petit à petit, complètement changé ma vie ; ils m’auront permis d’effectuer des rencontres inoubliables, des observations remarquables et de m’émanciper au cœur de ce milieu très particulier qu’est celui de la photographie Animalière et Nature.
Grâce aux 150.000 visiteurs de lʼexposition, plusieurs publications dans les magazines et près dʼune dizaine de conférences ayant réuni plus de 1200 personnes, «A la recherche de lʼOurs» a su conquérir le public.
Il était tout à fait normal de transformer lʼessai par l’édition d’un livre. “A la recherche de l’Ours” est un ouvrage retraçant l’aventure que j’ai vécue pour réaliser le reportage le plus dur de ma jeune carrière : 65 jours de terrain, plus de 60000 mètres de dénivelé pour vivre LA rencontre.
La préface est rédigée par Mr Francis Duranthon, directeur du Muséum d’Histoire Naturelle de Toulouse.
